Senior Frontend Engineer

Own the front end of products real businesses depend on — from the first component to the production deploy — on a small, senior team that ships continuously.

  • Full-time
  • Senior · Engineering

About the role

We build custom software, web and mobile apps, and AI-powered products for clients who need them to actually work in production. As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you own the interface end to end: the architecture, the components, the performance budget, and the call on the trade-offs.

This is not a role where designs get thrown over a wall to you. You work directly with our designers and backend engineers, shape the solution together, and ship it. We are deliberately small and senior, which means less coordination overhead and far more trust.

This role is fully remote and open to candidates based in the United States. We default to writing things down over scheduling meetings, and we measure people by what they ship, not the hours they sit online.

What you'll do

  • Build and own production React / Next.js applications from architecture through deploy.
  • Turn high-fidelity designs into fast, accessible, pixel-accurate interfaces.
  • Set and defend a performance budget — Core Web Vitals, bundle size, render cost.
  • Make accessibility (WCAG) a default, not an afterthought.
  • Collaborate closely with design and backend to shape the API contract and the UX together.
  • Review pull requests, raise the bar on code quality, and mentor through your work.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years building production web applications, with deep React experience.
  • Strong TypeScript — you reach for the type system to prevent bugs, not fight it.
  • Fluency with a modern React framework (Next.js preferred) and the rendering trade-offs (SSR / SSG / streaming).
  • A real eye for design detail, motion, and interaction — you sweat the last 10%.
  • Solid grasp of web performance and accessibility fundamentals.
  • Clear written communication — you can explain a trade-off in a paragraph an async teammate can act on.

Nice to have

  • Experience integrating LLM / AI features into a UI (streaming, tool calls, evals).
  • Comfort across the stack — touching Node services or infrastructure when needed.
  • Open-source contributions or a portfolio of work you can point to.

Stack & tools

  • TypeScript
  • React
  • Next.js
  • Tailwind CSS
  • Node.js
  • Vercel / AWS
